Apalon was chosen by Sigster Inc to create Urban War MMO (iTunes link) which provides users with true cross-platform massively multiplayer online role playing experience as it allows to login from a single user account across multiple platforms including Facebook, MySpace and iPhone. Urban War merge users into a virtual world where they perform challenging missions, fight other players, discover unique technologies, connect with old friends and make new ones on their way to leadership and all-over control over the city. iCurfew is a splendid result of fruitful cooperation between Apalon and Radical Parenting. It is not just another ordinary product in the series of teen tracking applications. Astrologiest of Good Luck Gamblers LLC hired Apalon to develop the application that gives daily luck forecasts based on either Western or Chinese astrological data. The app also includes Lucky Tips as well as Instant Luck Test allowing instant luck verification.

Project Spotlight: Hazelmail Postcards

HazelMail Postcards (iTunes link) turns your iPhone/iPod Touch photos into REAL postcards, AND Hazel prints, stamps and mails them for you! Online service www.hazelmail.com allows you to send a real postcard to anywhere in the world where real mail is delivered. Postcards are sent from remote locations LOCAL to the destination, making it faster, cheaper and more green than regular international airmail. Hazelmail hired Apalon to build iPhone application in order to provide to the iPhone users even more convenient way to send postcards right from their phone and thus leverage the solid iPhone audience. iPhone perfectly ads to the existing card delivery services because users of the App can take pictures on their phones and within few clicks send it by real mail to their friends and family. The application is Free to download and even includes one free postcard credit to try out the service.

Project spotlight: The Weathered Underground

Strange Mind Films headed by David Donihue hired Apalon to develop an interactive film app called The Weathered Underground (iTunes link) based on their interactive movie bearing the same title. It is a partially animated live action movie with dozens of endings where a user can choose what happens next. One can play for up to 4 ? hours without getting the same plotline and make a choice every 60 to 90 seconds.

The project turned out to be a challenging one as the development team has got 57 GB of creative material that had to be reduced in size while preserving the basic concept: to create an app with a full-fledged movie and a high-quality picture. The task was successfully carried out and the app came into notice of such competent websites as Pocket Gamer and Cult of Mac.

Project Spotlight: Flashpoint Academy

Flashpoint Academy App (iTunes link) - Apalon makes changes to the App in order to make it App store worthy.

Media-Fuse Inc turned to Apalon's iPhone development team for project rescue services: application was rejected by Apple. Upon review, application indeed had little substance to it - Apple found that app's sole purpose is marketing or promoting product/service, and therefore would not be appropriate for the App Store. Apalon had challenges of how to make app meet Apple's standards within tight budget. After several brainstorms we found and implemented the right functionality to make app more useful and it was approved by Apple.

That is exactly what app does.

Inspired by classic 5 or more En Masse LLC hired Apalon team to develop a puzzle game called Skeemo (iTunes link). Dragging pieces across the board users make horizontal, vertical or diagonal rows of the same color and in this way get points and power ups. This easy to grasp and very addictive app showed up in TOP 50 in both Puzzle and Board Games.

Project Spotlight: iSlice

iSlice: Cut It Up! (iTunes Link) is an addictive game developed by Apalon for Ed Nash, Josh Buckley and Lachy Groom. In this addictive game user must slice off sections of their playing field while avoiding little white cotton balls that try to impede. Due to its thought-provoking sayings and catching hand-drawn designs the app provides players with visually stimulating and delightful experience.
